| Favorite Anime(s): Berserk,
Master Mosquiton, Gundam(any), and Rurouni-Kenshin Favorite Character(s): Kenshin, Guts/Gatts (depending on the translation), Yuri(Dirty Pair, org. not flash), and Jigen (Lupin III) Favorite Style(s): My all time favs would have to be sword fights. I.E. Samurai, ninja, barbarian based shows anything with great fencing styles. Least Favorite Style(s): I am not to keen on magical girl series unless they are done in a humorous way (red riding hood Cha Cha) Favorite Format(s): I love TV series because the plot potential and character development have so much potential here. Ovas and movies follow hand in hand even though the animation is usually of better quality. |
I am
21 years old, In my off time I enjoy anime. I also majored in illustration
for a couple years and this is still one of my favorite pastimes. I am
also a collector of Hong Kong cinema, Especially mystical/magical kung
fu ones. When I watch shows I watch them with two perspectives. The first
being how unique was this? Was this something new? Did it make me think?
Was the art stylized to enhance the overall mood of the show? The second
is no matter how many times this type of show has been done was it enjoyable
this time? Did the cliched character fit the standard of all cliched characters?
As repetitive as story might be does it still hold it's own for being mindless
entertainment? I dispise anime that is based off manga and only gives you
part of the story. I.E. Rg Veda what the H@!! was going on!? Clamp did
make up for it in my mind with X1999, but then again the manga was released
here in different formats, and in English. So over all I'm like mikey is
with his cereal I'll watch anything! Well this is a little about me, and
how my simple mind works, later. -
