| Favorite Anime(s): Nadesico
and Robotech (Hey where else could you find the perfect soap opera as a kid?) Favorite Character(s): Akito Tenkawa, Parn (Record of Lodoss Wars), and Shinji (Damn you Eva-1, make fun of Shinji will you... MY AESTAVALIS WILL KICK THE DAYLIGHTS OUT OF YOUR EVA!!!!) Favorite Style(s): I just looovvee mecha shows, but am pretty partial to anything that has a interesting plot, funny scripting, or a philosophical motif. Least Favorite Style(s): Kid shoujo shows like Sailor Moon and Chou Kuseninarisou (DIE DIE DIE!) Favorite Format(s): I'd have to say long TV 25 episode formats. 25 episodes gives enough time for good character development and mainly provides many more hours of enjoyment. Examples of shows that were too short... Oh! My Goddess and Here is Greenwood. |
Hello
there, so you've stumbled into my info page. I picked the name Akito based
on the main character in the anime Nadesico, Akito Tenkawa. The mecha he
pilots, the red Aestavalis is pictured in the background. That machine
kicks some serious behind! So why did I pick Akito as my name? Well, the
reason is that he kinda reminds me of myself at times. Sometimes undecisive,
has girls chasing him around ; ) (wink), and head strong when it counts.
Not to mention he is always pondering the meaning of life, which I do on
occasion. I got started watching Japanese anime when I saw Macross eons
ago. Ever since then I've been a rabid anime fan watching a variety of
anime genre. As you probably can tell, I love mecha anime, but if the show
doesn't have a good plot it doesn't matter if its mecha based or not. As
long as the plot is interesting and the character developments are good
I'll watch it. Commerically available shows like Evangelion, Record of
Lodoss Wars, Gunbuster, and Macross all appeal enormously to me due to
the plot complexities and story lines. This isn't to say that I'm only
partial to mecha-based anime... I'm also a sucker for romantic comedies
as well, which is why I rated Shin Kimagure Orange Road so high. Watching
the original series, the first movie, and then the lastest installment
just reinforces my love for sappy stories. Currently I'm a college student
majoring in cellular biology. Anime is something I do on my spare time,
so it isn't the #1 on my priority list (sorry to disappoint you all). If
you have any questions about various shows, want to discuss your differing
opinion on a rated anime show, or just want to chat you can reach me at:
