 Nurse Angel Ririka SOS

Nurse Angle Ririka      Moriya Ririka was just a normal fourth grader attending Dove Academy. That is to say, until she meets Kanou Nozomu, a popular foreign student who's in the sixth grade. The unusual Kanou-sempai has a profound interest with Ririka, which arouses some suspicion (and jealousy) from her classmates. In fact, Kanou-sempai gives her a present and tells her not to open it until she is alone. Strange things happen to this girl after this incident; she is attacked by a suit of armor and hypnotized fencers. The fencers cause her to fall into a swimming pool. However a strange force revives her above the surface, and a beautiful voice tells her that she is the Legendary Nurse Angel, sworn to fight against evil.     - Hanako

Comments     I'm not a hard-core fan of magical girls stories, but I actually got to see this one because of an (ahem) donation. I love the OP song for the show. The show is actually pretty interesting, but there are some parts that are very...ludicrous. I don't understand why a bunch of girls would make a fan club for Kanou Nozomu. Can you say corny? The only character that I really like is actually the star of the show Ririka, and I'm pretty sure that most people who've seen this anime would agree with me. The anime also has weak colors, though the transformation scenes were good. The characters look cute (typical). The plot is very predictable and the transformations are Sailor Moon-ish. I got to learn A LOT (more than I hoped for) from the first volume. Well, I guess there is SOME mystery in this anime; some things that were hinted at were not clarified until later on. But other than that, I could pretty much figure what would happen in the next episode. I think that this is an anime appropriate for the younger audience and for those who absolutely love watching Magical Girl-type shows. But if you don't fall into these categories, or if you can't stand cornyness, skip this anime.
