REVIEW of: Bakuretsu Hunter

Bakuretsu Hunter, or "Sorceror Hunters", takes place in a time of myths, legends, and magic. And, of course, sex. Lots of it. I suppose the main character would have to be Carrot (yes, Carrot, as in the pointy little phalic vegetables), who is absolutely, positively, 100 percent woman-crazy. Completely and unashamedly woman-crazy. He also happens to have the special ability of absorbing magic and transforming himself into a gigantic bull. Don't even ask me how.(Heh.. the bull suits him well...). Chocolate (yes, Chocolate) is another of the ones called Sorceror Hunters, and she is the one in the center of the picture to the left. Yes, the one wearing thread. Believe it or not, Chocolate is a sweet, innocent red-head (Yes! Really!) who grew up with and loves Carrot (why on Earth, I have no idea). When mysterious magic starts to interfere with peoples' lives (or when Carrot goes women-chasing), however, she quickly "transforms" to Ms. S&M Queen, complete with whip and all. How (or WHY?!) her hair goes from red to dark brown, though, I'll never understand (red is so much better!). Tira is Chocolate's younger sister, and is pictured above her in the picture. She, too, is in love with Carrot. (Notice a trend here?) When not dressed as S&M Princess, she is quiet, shy, and wears big BIG glasses. Talk about split personalities! Finally, Carrot's brother (Maron) and Mr. Super Macho (Gato) complete the MAIN ensemble, though there are many MANY other characters throughout the series and OVAs. - Kiwi

Comments	Althought the plot is not what you might call original (okay, so it's generic as heck!), if you're up for good action thrown in between stomach wrenching laughs, Bakuretsu Hunter OVA may be just what you're looking for. While the Television series tends to be a LOT more on the action and drama side, both the TV and the OVA series are chocked full of exciting action and laughs. The OVA series will be especially hilarious for those who have seen some of the television series and are familiar with the characters and their eccentricities. Because this is such a "generic" show, however, even those completely unfamiliar with the characters will learn very quickly! =) While only mediocre in most of its ratings, if there were a score for "laughability", I'd give it a 9! I couldn't stop cracking up throughout the first OVA! Generic or not, it's just darn funny!		Yeah, I know, "How can such low scores add up to an overall of 7?" you're asking. Well, just rememeber that the overall score is not an average of the five base scores. Read the ratings page (I know you haven't)! Well, I have to say that this is what I expected typical anime to be like; a bunch of horny guys and sexually oppressed women with huge breasts in scant clothing. . If I really cared about the sociological implications of Japan I would discuss them. . . but I don't so I won't. I haven't seen all the episodes of Bakaretsu Hunters but I liked the first few episodes. I don't really understand what they are fighting (Bakaretsus, I suppose) so that's why clarity is 6 and plot is 5. This anime probably isn't intended to promote deep philosophical thinking or intellectuallism. . . all I remember are a lot of boobs. . . so basically I think plot, clarity, and character development are unimportant. The characters are typical, which would make character development a 5, but they are so cliched and one-sided I just had to drop it another point. The drawings are nice (the artists draw boobs well). Uh, hmmm. . . what else can I say about Bakaretsu Hunters? Uh. . boobs.
