REVIEW of: Shadow Skills

This summary is somewhat vague because I have only seen one episode on which to base this, but here goes nothing: It appears that the Shadow Skill Sabary is a special warrior or martial arts sect, and one of the main characters, Ellen Lan, belongs to them. In the first episode, she proves her worth in an arena against other vicous fighters. Also introduced is her 'brother', who has never been known to say a word. A mysterious stanger appears and talks to the brother in private, and... well... that's about where the first epidsode ends. Mostly action/role playing adventure type anime. - Kiwi

Comments	Although this isn't completely fair, since I've only seen one episode, from what I have seen this looked like a pretty average anime to me. The action is, at least in the first episode, somewhat subdued and the plot is all but hidden. As far as characters go, nothing special seems to jump out and grab me, but they aren't so dreadfully generic that you don't want to watch. The fight scene in the arena was decent, and I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more of this series. It seems pretty 'role-playing-ish', almost like Slayers (but without the humor)... swords, armor, special techniques/magic, etc. Note: From what I can gather, this is not the first series of Shadow Skill... those familiar with the original series may understand this one more... I am not familiar with it, thus my review is (as always) strictly my opinion.
