 Adventures of MiniGoddess

Adventures of MiniGoddess      What do a pair of Goddesses do to keep themselves entertained while their favorite mortal is off at school for the day? If they are Urd and Skuld they shrink down to miniature size and find a mouse to play with. That’s right, two of our favorite Goddesses are back in their own series of shorts. In Adventures of Mini-Goddess Urd, Skuld and Gan the mouse go through many wild and silly adventures. Be prepared for mini-mecha battles against rats to claim an ancient treasure. Watch as Skuld and Urd try to help Gan the mouse learn to fly. See the tactical genius that Urd displays as she prepares the final defenses to protect the refrigerator from a very large (and very hungry) monster. Adventures of Mini-Goddess is a series of cartoon shorts of about 9 or 10 minutes each. There are a couple of continued episodes but mostly they are just individual episodes. These are pure comedy and stay light and silly throughout.  - Toranpu

Comments What fun! Although I'm not a particular fan of SD, I wouldn't particularly classify this as SD -- they're small, but not deformed. Regardless of whether this really is SD or not, though, I did enjoy these mini episodes a lot. As Toranpu points out, they are indeed not much like the original series... instead, it's mostly just light hearted comedy. Very appealing and very enjoyable; it worked well in this case. These short episodes are fun, light, and make perfect transitions between two full length anime films. And, being a fan of Skuld, it was great to see her get that much screen time! Heheh. All in all, I recommend this to all anime fans, regardless of whether you've seen the original series or not -- you're sure to get a kick out of 'em!  Ah my goddess is, in my point of view, one of the funniest animes I've seen. Many people should already know the characters from the Oh My Goddess OAV's. However, I love this anime because it focuses more on the Two sisters rather than Belldandy. This isn't like any Oh My Goddess like I've ever seen, the many different Pop Culture references are seen everywhere. Such as the Godzilla or the Evangelion references. I would definetly recommend this Anime to anyone who likes Random Funny Things. CHIBI CHIBI CHIBI!!! KAWAII KAWAII KAWAII!!! Sorry, just had to get that out of my system. I have a major weakness when it comes to the chibi/super-deformed anime styles. They just tend to be so cute, silly, and fun that I can’t help but enjoy them. However, this is a good anime even if you are not a fan of the SD style. This anime is all about general fun and silliness. It is not a romantic comedy like Oh My Goddess! was. In fact, Keiichi and Belldandy only make occasional walk-ons. The story follows Urd, Skuld, and their new friend Gan. I can’t help but wonder if the makers of this were trying to emulate the American cartoons style with a recurring set of characters that they can just drop into new scenarios for about ten minutes at a time. All in all I really enjoyed Adventures of Mini-Goddess. If you’re a big fan of Oh My Goddess (especially if you are a fan of Urd or Skuld) then you will definitely want to pick this up. Even of you aren’t, this is well worth watching if you are a fan of comedies at all.
